My name is Shane and I founded Brazen Traveler to help people find the peace and gratitude that comes with being outdoors. I strongly believe in the transformative power that getting into nature can have on your life. I also happen to live with anxiety and mental health challenges, and it has played a signifiant role in shaping the person I am today. Going for hikes, mountain biking, surfing, camping, and many other outdoor activities have come to improve my life in unimaginable ways.
As a young man, I always knew my anxiety would create one of two outcomes for me. A life of less, or a life of more. Through my 20's and early 30's I realized I wasn't alone, and that others experienced some of the same thoughts and feelings I have had. That's when I decided to create Brazen Traveler and help others see the power of an active life centered around getting outdoors.
